I’ve noticed some things when studying for my upcoming exams. Gemini is good at recognizing PDF files with pictures in them (although it messes up sometimes, but it’s very good and very fast, especially with Gemini 3 thinking.. only 5 uses, I don’t have pro subscription
and they don’t believe that I’m a student even though I am one
), but not that good at doing complicated math problems for each problem.
Since I have limited number of uses on Gemini 3 pro, but have access to ChatGPT plus, I can use its thinking mode to get explanations for the problems, thus I now have a good workflow and am basically getting tutoring for almost free! ![]()
The process is: Upload PDF to gemini 3 thinking → ask for a detailed explanation and summary of the problems, equations, and the pictures of the graphs → copy-paste individual summary problems to chatGPT → ask for explanations based on that (since chatGPT is very slow at recognizing graph images, but fast at calculating when its described to it).
Thanks
I’m also taking this time to thank everyone in L-Station, especially those who provide the public welfare stations. When I run out of gemini 3 free credits sometimes, I always do my best to try to find some on that forum, although it’s hard still being level 1
Just wanted to put my method out there, and spill a little bit.
